Most shops in Littleton back their work for two years and 24,000 miles. We back ours for four years and 50,000 miles, parts and labor, at no extra charge. Here is exactly what that covers, what it does not, and what to do if your car acts up 900 miles from home.
Every qualifying repair we perform is covered for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first, on parts and labor — no deductible, no separate contract, no extra charge.
Two conditions, and we would rather you read them here than find them later. Your vehicle has to come back to us at least once a year to keep coverage active, and an oil change counts. And two situations carry a shorter term: work billed through a CarMax MaxCare or RepairPal contract is capped at 12 months or 12,000 miles by the contract, and commercial and fleet vehicles run on the NAPA Peace of Mind period. Everything else gets the full four years.

Dakota Ridge Auto is a NAPA Gold Certified shop, which means every qualifying repair carries the NAPA AutoCare Peace of Mind Warranty. That program covers parts and labor for 24 months or 24,000 miles and it travels with you: NAPA AutoCare Centers all over the country honor it.
We think 24 months is short for the kind of work we do, so we double it. Dakota Ridge extends the coverage on the repairs we perform to 48 months and 50,000 miles. Same repair, same price, twice the protection.
The nationwide portion runs 24 months and 24,000 miles as standard. Pay for a qualifying repair with the NAPA AutoCare EasyPay card and NAPA extends its own coverage to 36 months or 36,000 miles — a full extra year that travels with you to any NAPA AutoCare Center in the country.
Our 48 months and 50,000 miles does not change either way. The card lengthens the part other shops honor, not the part we honor.
Not available on commercial and fleet vehicles, which stay on the 24 month nationwide period. Ask us about EasyPay before you approve the work — it has to be the payment method on that repair, so it cannot be applied afterwards.
| Where the work is done | Parts and labor covered for | Honored out of town |
|---|---|---|
| Dakota Ridge Auto | 48 months / 50,000 miles | Yes, through the NAPA network |
| NAPA AutoCare standard | 24 months / 24,000 miles | Yes |
| Typical independent shop | 12 to 24 months, varies | Usually not |
| Chain quick-lube | 90 days to 12 months, varies | At that chain’s locations |
| Dealer service department | 12 to 24 months, brand dependent | At that brand’s dealers |
If we replaced it or rebuilt it and it fails inside the term, we make it right. The covered systems:
This is the part most shops leave you to find out later, so here it is first. Internal engine and internal transmission work is not covered by our 48 month warranty, and it is not covered by NAPA either. Both programs exclude it.
What covers it is the warranty from the company that built the unit — the engine or transmission remanufacturer. That is typically two to three years and 100,000 miles, and on mileage it usually outlasts everything else on this page. The exact term depends on which unit goes in, and it is written on your invoice.
So a replacement engine is not less protected than a brake job. It is protected by somebody else, for longer, under different rules. Ask us for the unit’s warranty terms before you approve the work and we will put them in front of you.
A warranty nobody explains is a warranty nobody trusts, so here are the limits in plain language:
303-795-2600. Tell the service advisor what the car is doing. We pull your file, see exactly what we did and when, and get you in. You do not need your invoice and you do not need to argue the point — the record is on our side of the counter.
The NAPA Warranty Administrator is at 800-452-NAPA (6272). The administrator is available from 8:00am to 8:00pm Eastern, Monday through Friday, closed holidays. They will point you at a participating NAPA AutoCare Center and authorize the work.
Two things people get caught by, so we would rather say them plainly. If there is no participating shop near you, you MUST get NAPA’s authorization BEFORE any repair begins — approval afterwards is not a thing. And if the shop you end up at will not bill NAPA directly, you pay for the repair and send the paperwork in for reimbursement rather than walking out without paying.
Under 25 miles from us, the program says the car comes back here. That is the easy version, and it is the one we prefer anyway.
The NAPA program runs two years. Years three and four are our own extension, which means they are not part of any national network — there is no other shop that can bill them and no administrator to call. In that window the vehicle comes back to Ida Avenue.
We would rather say that plainly than imply a nationwide safety net that does not exist in years three and four. If you are planning a long move, tell us and we will tell you exactly where you stand before you go.
No deductible and no labor charge on covered work. If we find the original repair was not the problem, we will tell you that too, and we will show you what we found.

A warranty is not a marketing promise. It is a shop betting its own money on its own diagnosis. A shop that guesses, or that installs the cheapest available part, cannot afford to write four years, because it will be paying to do the same job twice.
We have been on this corner at C470 and Bowles since 2008. Our technicians are ASE Master and Advanced Master Certified, we install new NAPA parts rather than the cheapest thing that fits, and we diagnose before we quote. The 48 month warranty is the clearest way we know to say we expect the repair to hold.
If you have CarMax MaxCare or another third-party service contract, that is a separate thing from this warranty and we work with those carriers directly — see extended warranty repairs for how the claim and authorization process works on those.
Forty-eight months or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first, on parts and labor for qualifying repairs. There is no deductible, no registration card to mail in, and nothing extra to buy. It comes with the repair.
For the first 24 months and 24,000 miles, yes, through the NAPA AutoCare Peace of Mind program. Call the NAPA Warranty Administrator at 800-452-NAPA (6272), 8am to 8pm Eastern on weekdays, BEFORE any work starts, and they will direct you to a participating shop and authorize the repair. If there is no participating shop near you, that authorization is required rather than optional, and if the shop will not bill NAPA directly you pay and submit for reimbursement. If you paid for the repair with the NAPA EasyPay card, that nationwide window is 36 months and 36,000 miles instead of 24. Months 25 through 48 are our own extension rather than NAPA's, so there is no national network behind them and the vehicle needs to come back to us in that window.
No. The NAPA AutoCare Peace of Mind warranty is written to the original purchaser and does not transfer to whoever buys the vehicle from you. The repair history does follow the car though, because we report service to Carfax, so a buyer can see the work was done properly even though the coverage ends with you.
No. It comes with the repair, we do not sell it as an add-on and we do not price it into the estimate as a line item.
Yes, one thing. Your vehicle has to come back to us at least once a year. An oil change counts. It is how we keep eyes on the car, and if a year goes by with no visit, coverage lapses. This is on your invoice and it is the one condition worth writing on the calendar.
Two. If you are having work done under a CarMax MaxCare or RepairPal contract, that work is capped at 12 months or 12,000 miles, because the contract sets the term rather than we do. And vehicles in commercial or fleet use are covered for the NAPA Peace of Mind period rather than our 48 months. Everything else, every ordinary car and truck, gets the full four years and 50,000 miles.
No, and it is important to know which warranty you actually have. Internal engine and internal transmission work is excluded from both our 48 month warranty and the NAPA nationwide program. What covers it is the warranty from the company that remanufactured the unit, which is typically two to three years and 100,000 miles. On mileage that usually outlasts everything else on this page. The exact term depends on the unit and it is written on your invoice, so ask us for it before you approve the work.
Yes. Pay for a qualifying repair with the NAPA AutoCare EasyPay card and NAPA extends its nationwide coverage from 24 months and 24,000 miles to 36 months and 36,000 miles. Our own 48 months and 50,000 miles is unchanged either way, so the card lengthens the portion other shops honor rather than the portion we honor. It has to be the payment method on that repair, so it cannot be added afterwards, and it is not available on commercial or fleet vehicles.
No. The warranty covers repairs, not the scheduled replacement of parts that are designed to wear out. If we install brake pads and the caliper we rebuilt fails at 30,000 miles, that is covered. If the pads themselves wear down to the indicator after 35,000 miles of driving, that is normal wear and it is on you.
No paperwork. We keep the repair order on file with your vehicle history, and we report service to Carfax, so the record follows the car. Hang onto your invoice if you like having it, but you do not need it to come back. The one thing you do need is the annual visit above.
The NAPA AutoCare nationwide standard is 24 months and 24,000 miles. Most independent shops in the south metro write somewhere between 12 and 24 months. A handful go to four years and 40,000 miles. Ours is four years and 50,000 miles, which is the longest we are aware of in Littleton. Ask any shop for their terms in writing before you agree to the work.

I brought my car in for major repairs. Michael explained the work that was needed. Then kept me updated as the repairs proceeded. It is so refreshing to deal with an honest company that does excellent work. I would highly recommend them to anyone. And I won't take my car anywhere else.
They were incredibly kind, honest, and easy to work with from start to finish. My car needed a lot of work, and they handled everything quickly while keeping me in the loop the whole time. I never felt rushed or talked down to, which goes a… read the rest on Google
I appreciated the upfront pricing and honesty regarding what needed to be evaluated on my car. Their prices are competitive and service was done in a timely fashion.
Ask us before the work, not after. A service advisor will walk you through what is covered on your specific repair, in writing on the estimate.
