Nissan Repair and Service in Littleton

Nissan and Infiniti, handled by ASE Master Certified technicians at C470 and Bowles since 2008. Every repair backed 48 months and 50,000 miles.

The CVT conversation is the one Nissan owners most need an honest answer on, and it is the one they least often get. We will tell you plainly whether fluid service is worth doing on yours or whether you are past that point.

Models we see most often: Altima, Rogue, Sentra, Frontier, Pathfinder, Titan. If yours is not on that list we almost certainly still work on it — call and ask.

What usually brings Nissan owners in

Not a list of everything that can go wrong with a car. These are the patterns that show up on this make specifically, and knowing them is most of what separates a shop that fixes your Nissan from one that fixes cars generally.

  • CVT transmission serviceNissan’s continuously variable transmissions are sensitive to fluid condition and heat. Serviced on schedule with the correct fluid they do far better than their reputation; neglected, they do not recover. Colorado grades are hard on them.
  • Timing chain and guidesOn several four-cylinder engines a rattle at start can be chain guides rather than anything cheap. Worth diagnosing early.
  • Fuel level sender accuracyA common annoyance on some models where the gauge stops reading correctly. Diagnosable, and not a reason to distrust the whole car.
  • Exhaust and catalyst codesFrequent on higher-mileage Altimas. The code names the catalyst; the cause is often upstream, so we test before quoting.

None of that means your Nissan is unreliable. Every make has a list. It means that when one of these shows up, we are not learning it on your car.

Common questions from Nissan owners

Can an independent shop service my Nissan without voiding the warranty?

Yes. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act a manufacturer cannot void your factory warranty simply because an independent shop did the maintenance. What matters is that the work is done to specification, with the right parts and fluids, and documented. We keep records and report service to Carfax, so the history follows the car.

What goes wrong on a Nissan most often?

The pattern we see most is cvt transmission service — nissan’s continuously variable transmissions are sensitive to fluid condition and heat. Serviced on schedule with the correct fluid they do far better than their reputation; neglected, they do not recover. Colorado grades are hard on them. Every make has its own list, and knowing yours in advance is the difference between maintenance and a breakdown.

Do you use factory parts on a Nissan?

We use OE or equivalent-quality parts appropriate to the job and to how long you plan to keep the car. Where an aftermarket part is genuinely as good we will say so and save you money; where the OE part is the only one worth fitting we will say that too. Either way the repair carries 48 months or 50,000 miles.

Is an independent cheaper than the Nissan dealer?

Usually on labor rate, and often on parts. The bigger difference is that you talk to the person who worked on the car. What a dealer has that we do not is factory warranty authority and recall work — if your Nissan needs either of those, go to the dealer and we will tell you so.

Do you service Nissan hybrids and electric models?

Yes, including battery state of health testing. See our hybrid and EV page for what that involves and where the boundaries are.

Need work on your Nissan?

Call the shop or book online. We will diagnose it properly and tell you honestly if it belongs at the dealer instead.
