More than forty local organizations supported this year, almost all of them within a few miles of the shop.
This is not a corporate giving program with a budget line. It is a shop in a neighborhood saying yes to the schools, teams and groups that ask, which over eighteen years adds up to a fairly long list.
The neighborhoods are the ones you would expect from where we sit: Dakota Ridge, Chatfield, Columbine, Ken Caryl, Solterra and Roxborough. Several of the people who work here grew up in them, and some came through the high school programs on this page before we hired them.
Dakota Ridge High School, Chatfield Senior High, D’Evelyn, STEM School, and a long list of elementary schools across the west side — Coronado, Governors Ranch, Powder Horn, Red Rocks, Roxboro, Westridge.
Chatfield boys lacrosse, Dakota Ridge football, basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, drama, journalism, after-prom, South Jeffco junior baseball and football.
Feeding Many, Clement Park Dental canned food drive, Hands of the Carpenter, Project Humanity.
We are a Good Neighbor Garage partner, helping get reliable vehicles to single mothers. This is the one that fits a repair shop best.
American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Out of the Darkness, Lifechange Run for Change 5k, Mary Kay chemo care packages, a free dental event.
Chatfield Senior High automotive classes, plus interns from Dakota Ridge and Chatfield — several of whom now work here.
One line on this year’s list reads simply: Cora J., customer who needed tires badly.
That is the whole entry. It is also the most representative thing on the list.
Call the shop at 303-795-2600 or stop by. TJ handles these himself and the answer is frequently yes, particularly for anything on the west side of Littleton.
A Hands of the Carpenter program that helps single mothers get and keep reliable transportation. We are a partner shop.
